Casal dos Jordões in business since 1870, always held by the Jordan Family. The operation consists of properties located in the municipality of São João da Pesqueira, distributed by Casais do Douro parishes (Headquarters), Ervedosa Douro, Sarzedinho and Castanheiro do sul. All parcels are located at an altitude ranging between 90 and 350 meters on the slopes of the Rio Torto, geared predominantly to South and West.
The farm cultivates vineyards and olive groves and 43 hectares of vines and 14 hectares of olive groves in 2002 and made 10 more hectares of new vines and reconstituted 4 hectares.
Having made a great effort to adapt to modern times, the vineyards were located in the terraced vineyards and the high, with the introduction of the more noble varieties such Douro, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão and Touriga Nacional .
The company always took care to produce wines of quality, even before bottling own account of the production and direct sale to consumers.
The whole municipality of São João da Pesqueira produces excellent wines, but the craggy slopes and valleys of the Rivers Torto and Douro that produce authentic "Vintage" of unmatched and superb quality.
Are blessed land, and clay that cascalhentos combined with a unique microclimate where summer temperatures reach very high values is that they grow vines and produce nectar so famous. Are soils from the shale rock that is as an added value of the county.
We are currently marketing the Port Wine Vintage, LBV, 10 years, Finest Reserve, Fine Ruby, Tawny and White.
In the Douro wines - DOC than from mixing of different grape varieties, selling varietal wines of the main varieties of the Douro noble.
Our wines are commercially throughout Europe, Japan, USA and Canada.
Our holding in this county and in an area traditionally producer of high quality wines - the Torto river, could give rise to wines of superior category.
In 1994 the company began growing organic plants exempting the application of toxic products that would further improve the quality of the final product so that no waste is harmful to health, and in restoring the health of the soil parent rock that gave them origin.
We believe that this was binomial, location of the vineyards - farming that allowed our wines have received awards for quality in Portugal and abroad and the company recognized by the credit quality abroad, as the premium ARC OF EUROPE GOLD by IDB - Business Initiative Directions in Frankfurt - Germany. Journal of the German Wine "ALLES Uber WEIN", we were awarded a gold medal for quality recommending our company Douro - the Jordões Young in 2003 and 2005.

We will launch this year a red wine vinegar in bottles of 250 ml.
We are practicing for a year now "Agriculture Biodinamic" and we present our first wine next year.
